Mental Health Champions

Mental Health Champions

What are mental health champions?

  • A team dedicated to the improvement of mental health and wellbeing throughout the school.
  • They believe that the wellbeing of every person in the school is fundamental to their happiness and good mental health.
  • Our mental health champions took part in workshops delivered by the One Goal. These workshops helped the children understand their own mental health, and they learnt a variety of evidence based approached for staying mentally healthy and happy.
  • The children learnt about the five key skills and qualities of a great Mental Health Champion. They had opportunities to engage in role play to develop strategies to support others. They were given practical tips for providing support to their peers which will allow them to think about promoting positive mental health around school.
