Safeguarding
Our Commitment to Safeguarding
At Nicol Mere, the safety and wellbeing of our children is our top priority. We provide a secure, caring environment that supports every child’s learning and personal development—socially, emotionally, physically, and morally.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. All staff are fully trained and follow clear policies and procedures, which are available to parents upon request.
Reporting a Safeguarding Concern
If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child, please speak to a member of our Safeguarding and Child Protection Team without delay. Every school must have a designated lead for safeguarding, and at Nicol Mere, we have a dedicated team in place to support and protect our pupils:
Mrs Rebecca Parkinson – Designated Safeguarding Lead
Mrs Stephanie Swift – Deputy Safeguarding Lead & Headteacher
Miss Lesley Norris – Deputy Safeguarding Lead & SENCO
Mrs Laura Sedman – Deputy Safeguarding Lead
You can contact any member of the team directly, or if you prefer, speak to your child’s class teacher who will ensure your concerns are passed on promptly. Your voice could make all the difference.
