Safeguarding

Safeguarding

At Nicol Mere, keeping our children safe is our highest priority, and we put the children’s health, wellbeing and safety at the centre of everything we do. We provide a safe and caring environment that promotes the learning and care of all, alongside the social, physical, emotional and moral development of the individual child.

Safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone and therefore all staff know the policies and procedures in place related to safeguarding; these are available for parents to view on request.

What can I do if I have a safeguarding concern?

Every school is required to have a designated lead for safeguarding. At Nicol Mere, we have a safeguarding and child protection team:

Mrs Sarah Bullen –                 Designated Safeguarding Lead and Deputy Headteacher

Mrs Stephanie Swift –           Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Headteacher

Mrs Rebecca Parkinson -      Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Online Safety Lead

Miss Lesley Norris -                Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and SENCO

If you have any concerns or worries about yourself or someone you know, please do not hesitate to get in touch with a member of our safeguarding and child protection team. Alternatively, speak to your child’s class teacher who can pass your concerns on to a member of the team.
